Moonlighter 2 The Gallery Dungeon: Floors, Bosses and Route

The Gallery is a museum machine dimension in Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, running the Shock and Overcharge relic curse across two floors. This guide covers both floors, their bosses and unlock quests, how a run is routed, and how to extract safely.

Overview

The Gallery is one of Moonlighter 2's three dimensions, a museum machine region with two floors — an easier first floor and a harder second floor. Its relic curse is Shock and Overcharge: a shocked relic is Overcharged and gains quality; shocked again it explodes unless a Battery drains it.

Floors, bosses and how they unlock

  • Exhibition Wing (Tier 2) — boss The Curator; minibosses 4RT-TR4P and V3NUS. Security bots, laser turrets and tasers that throw you into electric fields. Unlocks: Quest 'Archaeologist' from Tomo, after you receive the grimoire.
  • Treasury Halls (Tier 2) — boss Tyke; minibosses Sergeant Trajano and Sergeant Roberto. Holograms, flying vault safes and Curator fragments. Unlocks: Quest 'Dungeon of the Luminous', after killing The Curator and talking to Babyl.

Route and how a run works

  • Tomo's Radar shows each floor as a branching map of nodes — chests, events, potions, blacksmith, recipe, elite, miniboss, boss, and Ice or Thunder perk rooms — and you pick one branch at every step.
  • Combat pedestals hand out run perks; stacking one path (all Thunder, all Ignite) beats mixing, and one perk on the gun plus one on the weapon is the usual split.
  • Chests appear after chest nodes, minibosses and bosses: a few Common relics plus a choice between two higher-rarity ones, with node colour on the radar setting relic quality.
  • Rupture: an enemy at half health turns purple and can be launched with the backpack into walls, other enemies or off the edge. Elites and minibosses never rupture.

Extraction and death

  • The pendant teleports you home at any time with everything in the bag. There is no penalty beyond the loot you skipped, and 'Back to Tresna' relic effects trigger on the way out.
  • Death penalty by difficulty: on Easy, Normal and Hard every relic in your backpack loses half its quality; on Expert you lose the relics outright; on Hardcore (added in 1.0) you lose your progress and start over.
  • Because floors unlock through Tresna story quests rather than levels, extract and bank progress freely — you are never grinding XP, only relics and materials.

Drops and materials

Each The Gallery boss drops a rare crafting material and two chests, and each floor's two minibosses drop the material for The Gallery's early weapon upgrades. Nou and Anacard, at the Silent Exchange, will swap surplus miniboss materials for boss materials.
