Moonlighter 2 Switch 2: Is It Coming to Nintendo Switch 2?

The short answer is that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is not officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2. Steam lists Windows as the only platform. The version 1.0 launch announcement does say console versions are available — but it does not name a single console, which is not the same as confirming a Nintendo release.

Is Moonlighter 2 coming to Switch 2?

No Nintendo Switch 2 version has been named in the official sources tracked for this guide as of September 3, 2026. That is a status answer, not a claim that a Nintendo version can never happen. If Digital Sun or 11 bit studios names one, this page should be updated with the original announcement and the supported platform details.

What the official Steam page confirms

The live Moonlighter 2 Steam listing identifies the product as a released Windows game. It lists Single-player, Full controller support, Gamepad recommended, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud, and Family Sharing. It does not list Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, console availability, cross-platform saves, or a Nintendo eShop link.

  • Platform shown: Windows PC.
  • Store state: released, out of Early Access.
  • Original Early Access release: November 19, 2025.
  • Version 1.0 release: September 2, 2026.
  • The listing does not show a Switch or Switch 2 platform.

What the launch announcement says about consoles

The September 2, 2026 launch post states that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is “officially out of Early Access on PC, and console versions are available now”. That is the single strongest console claim in any first-party source tracked here, and it still names no platform, no storefront, no edition and no release note.

So the honest reading is narrow: the developer says console versions exist, and no official source tracked here identifies which consoles. A Switch 2 release is neither confirmed nor excluded by that sentence, and this page will not turn an unnamed console into a named one.

Why people are searching for Moonlighter 2 Switch 2

The query reflects a platform question from players who prefer Nintendo hardware, and the original Moonlighter shipped on Switch, which makes the expectation reasonable. The search interest itself is not proof of a port. Until an official source names Switch 2, the safe answer is “not confirmed,” and the page should not imply that a Nintendo release date exists.

Moonlighter 2 Switch versus Switch 2

The current evidence does not name either a Nintendo Switch version or a Nintendo Switch 2 version. These are separate platform questions, so a future announcement should state the exact hardware, release timing, edition, performance details, and whether saves or purchases carry across platforms.

How to verify a future Switch 2 announcement

A reliable update should come from Digital Sun, 11 bit studios, an official Nintendo product page, an official Nintendo eShop listing, or an updated official store listing that names the platform. A retailer listing, forum post, search suggestion, or an image without a first-party source is not enough to change the answer on this page.

Current answer

Moonlighter 2 is not officially confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 as of September 3, 2026. Unnamed console versions are claimed by the developer as of the September 2, 2026 launch; Windows is the only platform the Steam listing shows.
